I played an afternoon round here on 09/06/12 from the blue tees (71.3/123/6849). It should be known up front that this is not a destination course, but I really liked it. Many of the recent courses on my trip have had dense vegetation lining each side of the holes and Golfmohr is an open course that has a parkland feel to it. So this is a good place to play if someone is new to the game, struggling with their game, or just wants to be able to swing away without huge penalties. The course’s main defense are the tree lined fairways if someone hits a really crooked shot (still should be able to find the ball though) and some long holes. The 5th hole is a 228 yard par 3 and the 6th is a 602 yard par 5 while the back has a 449 yard par 4, 208 yard par 3, and a 612 yard par 5 to close out the round. The course featured a good mix of possible birdie holes and some challenging holes and was fun to play. There was a drivable par 4 for the longer hitters and the par 3s varied the club selection. The 11th, a short par 4, was the signature hole and required a layup off the tee and an approach over water to the green that was framed by flowers. The course was in good shape considering the low green fee ($27 to ride) and a good putt was rewarded. If I lived in the area this would be a good place to play without spending the big bucks.
I had technical difficulties wit the camera and ended up taking most pictures at a weird angle, so here are the few that turned out okay.
